TeamViewer for Remote Control is an app that combines remote file access, screen control and the ability to share screens with other users. A single-user subscription allows the remote control of unlimited devices. As a nice bonus, the app offers audio and video conferencing tools.

Start and Manage Remote-Control Sessions

TeamViewer is our first suggestion when providing remote sessions to anyone. This is one of a few apps that let you view the screen of the iPad and iPhone. For instant support, you can get TeamViewer QuickSupport. This is a simplified version that you can launch quickly.

If you need to connect to your own PC when away, you just need to create a password. After that, you will be able to make a connection from a mobile device. The app offers tools that you may need, such as the Device Manager and command prompts.

Log into your account to keep track of all devices you have access to. You also get a file box where you can upload files and make them available to all users.

Subscription Plans

You can use TeamViewer for free, and there is no limit on the number of remote devices. However, there are subscription plans for businesses and one plan for private use:

  1. A free personal plan comes with basic features but provides enough capabilities to chat with your friends. If you need remote access tools for work, you should choose another plan.
  2. Single-Use Plan is the cheapest one. It gives you access to unlimited devices with one concurrent session.
  3. Multi-User Plan allows several users (e.g. employees) access to an unlimited number of devices.
  4. Team Plan allows for three concurrent sessions and grants advanced capabilities.
  5. Add-Ons can be added to any plan. These include customer support, access to different operating systems, and so on.

The app also has a 14-day free trial.

Interface Design

TeamViewer has a simple interface and the majority of the screen shows off the desktop area. There are six icons that sit at the bottom, including a keyboard and quick actions. For example, you can remotely reboot a computer, block user's inputs, change monitors, and so on. When you need an on-screen keyboard, a translucent bar appears at the top of the screen.

Conclusion

TeamViewer is a helpful remote device access app. It comes with a plethora of useful tools, such as file transfer and screen sharing. The service is a bit on an expensive side, but it includes a free personal license for you to try out.
