Elon Musk Will Not Join Twitter Board

Elon Musk is definitely a famous figure on the Internet, and his actions never remain without attention. He is currently the biggest shareholder of Twitter, and according to the recent news, Musk has announced that he will not be joining the board of the app.

Elon’s Twitter account is full of loud statements and comments regarding free speech and human rights. On April 4, he revealed buying a 9.1 percent stake in the app and said he wants to modernize the sharing platform by adding new features.

Nevertheless, on Saturday, when Musk was supposed to be joining the board, he stated that morning that he decided to decline that opportunity, shares Twitter CEO, Parag Agrawal. Further, he explained that this action will be taken to attention, and the board will still make sure to value Musk’s input as the biggest shareholder.

On his Twitter account, Elon has previously made a poll, asking his followers if they believe that Twitter follows the free speech amendments, and 70% of the votes remained negative. After acquiring the biggest stake, Musk has decided to run another poll regarding adding an edit button to the app, which is a long awaited-function everyone jokes about.

Musk wanted to implement new ideas to the Twitter Blue premium subscription service: he said that it would be more beneficial to reduce the price, cancel all promotion material, and install cryptocurrency payments with dogecoin.

After Elon acquired his status on April 4, Twitter shares rose 27 percent, and since then have been going down. Twitter’s CEO ensures the users that the board is working on improvements in the app, and he wants everyone to be calm and focused.
