Amazon Prime Subscribers Can Send Gifts Easier

Amazon simplifies the procedure of gifts sent to its subscribers. If you are a Prime Member, you can send a present to other users with only the phone number or email. You don’t need any address to do it.

The holiday season is close, so it might be time to start thinking about presents for your family, friends, or colleagues. Amazon has thought about it in advance. Members of the Prime subscription receive the unique ability to send gifts by email or phone number. The service is available only in the continental US, not coastal. Besides, you can use this option only via mobile phone. The giver never sees the mailing address of the receiver, and yet, it still sounds like an open invitation for scammers. While Amazon is trying to secure the identities of its users, the new service might be vulnerable to stalkers, fraudsters, and abusers.

How Gifts Season Works

If you want to send a gift to someone, you don’t need to know the address of this person. All you need is to indicate either the phone or email of this user. Here is a detailed instruction for you:

  • You can choose a present on the Amazon’s app;
  • Pick the gift available on the list at the Amazon store;
  • After that, find the option “add gift receipt for easy returns” for the check-out period;
  • Tap the “let the recipient provide the address”;
  • Add the phone number or email of the receiver of the gift.

You will not be charged right away. If the person you want to give a present to does not have an account at Amazon, it is simple to create it. The receiver must have an account to receive the gift; however, it does not have to be a Prime account.

Do you want to use the new service from Amazon? Have you ever sent gifts via this system? If someone sent you a gift and you were not registered at Amazon, would you register your profile? Tell us your opinion in the comments below.
